South West Coast Path, Hope Cove - Sore Mill Cove
Updated: Mar 29, 2021
The South Hams is a region of rural and coastal Devon and is an area of outstanding beauty! The coastline is absolutely amazing and I recommend anyone pay this beautiful place a visit.
You can of course walk the entire stretch of coastline but if you wanted a moderate walk then Hope Cove to Sore Mill Cove is a great option. Takes some logistics if you only want to walk it in one direction with leaving cars at each end but totally worth it! Or of course you can just walk back on yourself and have the car waiting for you at your starting point.
I always like to take a picnic out with me and walk around lunch time because what better place to have a spot of lunch!
As always the SWCP is a hilly style walk so in parts can be strenuous but I wouldn't say this particular stretch is that difficult.
The walk in total without stopping is about 1hr30mins - 3 hrs both directions.
Wildflower season is April through to July, I'd highly recommend this is a great time to visit because when all the wildflowers bloom it makes this place even more gorgeous!
